The State Govt. conducted special detection drives to weed out ineligible and bogus rationcards in the year of 2011.

      Under this drive the ration card holders were required to submit the necessary information in the prescribed form alongwith valid documents. The ration cards of those cardholders who submitted the above documents within prescribed time limit were continued as before. However, those who failed to do so, their ration cards were suspended / cancelled & the ration supply on such cards has been stopped. Further it is also mentioned that allocation of foodgrains and kerosene of fair price shops and kerosene license respectively has been reduced in proportion to the cancelled ration cards.
